Doc Fest

Background

Role: Designer

Target: James Madison University students

Date: December 2020

This project was done in my Visual Communication Design class with the objective of informing James Madison University students of the local screening featuring student work. The images and text were provided by the professor running the event and was set as mandatory elements for each piece. The images were from the actual films or behind the scenes, adding a personal feel to the deliverables. We had total creative freedom when it came to the layout, colors, and typography. With that being said, I pulled colors from the image I decided to feature in each deliverable. I used bold text and outlined sections to create hierarchy and to guide the viewers’ gaze.
